Cold & Flu Season Tips

If you feel the flu or a cold coming on, nip it in the bud. Prevention within the first 24 hours of symptoms can often stop a cold or the flu in its tracks.

For flu-like symptoms like headache, fever and muscle aches, get some Oscillococcinum from the health food store or even at Walmart. This is a safe homeopathic remedy by Boiron that fights the flu without any bad side effects.

To kick the common cold (sneezing, runny nose), try Zicam (homeopathic nose spray) or Airborne (fizzy tablets you drop in water) which can both be found at Walgreens.

In both cases, boost your intake of Vitamin C to over 2000 mg a day. You can get the Emergen-C packets from Walmart or your health food store. This is a powder that you take with water for an instant energy and alkaline boost.

Keep these on hand so that you have them handy when symptoms hit and 9 times out of 10 you will be able to stop these invasions before they become full-blown colds or flus.
